October 2010 - Chocolate River Rescue Makes Splash in Kitchener-Waterloo
The Waterloo Region Public
Libraries officially
launched their 2nd Annual Let's Read program
and announced Chocolate River Rescue as their 2010 Book Choice
title at Word on the Street on Sunday, September 26th. A great time was had by
all. There was singing and dancing,
firefighters and chocolate,
and a suspenseful reading by Kitchener Mayor Carl Zehr. Here are few pictures

August 2010 - Gadzooks The Christmas Goose will be released in October 2010!
A warm children's Christmas story with a Maritime flare by Jennifer McGrath Kent and illustrated by Ivan Murphy. For more information on this book and how to order it, click here!
June 2010 - Chocolate River Rescue has been chosen as the 2010 title for the “Let’s Read!” program sponsored by the Kitchener-Waterloo community libraries. “Let’s Read” is a library-focused family book club initiative that encourages families to read together. Last year, over 850 families participated in the program. Jennifer will be travelling to Waterloo this fall to visit some of the participating libraries. When the dates are finalized, they will appear on the Appearances page.

the 2010 Silver Birch Award!
The Silver Birch Award is part of the Ontario Library Association’s “Forest of Reading” initiative which encourages young readers to read a selection of Canadian books over the course of the school year. Students can then vote for their favourite book in the spring.
