Jennifer
McGrath Kent grew up in Hillsborough, New Brunswick, alongside the
Petitcodiac (“Chocolate”) River. She spent countless hours on horse-back,
exploring the woods, trails and abandoned gypsum quarries in the “White
Rock” hills behind her house. Jennifer is a freelance writer and author, and
has taught English courses at Mount Allison University and the University of
Moncton.
After graduating from Moncton High School, she went on to earn a B.A. (Honours
English) from St. Francis Xavier University in Antigonish, Nova Scotia and an
M.A. in English Literature from the University of Victoria in British Columbia.
Currently, she lives in the country just outside of Moncton, New Brunswick with
her family and several pets. Jennifer loves animals, books, music, theatre,
story-telling, costumes, jokes, movies and--of course--chocolate.
